Native Californian Kenneth “Kenny" James Gohn, primary lead guitarist for TRUST, hails from Los Angeles. Second to his faith in God, Kenny’s love of music grew from his start in music by playing the flute in elementary school, then the piano with his mom’s help, and then came the guitar with some drums thrown in for variety at age 11. He began writing original music at age 12. In 7th grade, Kenny saw his “first, real live rock band” and never looked back. The guitar won him over and he learned all styles of music from jazz to classical to big band to metal. “I always strived at my own style as my influences were pretty vast,” he said. Kenny was initially inspired by John Fogerty, CCR, and later by Stevie Ray Vaughn. He continues to study music and has worked as an arranger, church music director, writer and guitar instructor. Today, Kenny resides in Corona, CA and has two grown children.
