Mark Davidson has a wealth of musical knowledge uncommon to someone to who first picked up the guitar in his freshman year of high school. Always the maverick, he switched to bass soon after, “because no one played it,” he said. He also studied classical double bass and has performed in amateur, community-oriented symphonies for several years. Somehow, that just doesn’t jive with what he calls his “closet punk rock and ska addiction.” Who knows what he’ll do next, since getting away with wearing his red Converses with his tuxedo at several formal concerts.
